Santa & Brady 2014
Brady did so good with Santa this year. Santa was so good and Brady warmed up to him quickly. I love all these pictures of the two of them. So much sweetness!!!! And it's so funny to hear Brady say, "Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas". Oh how I love Christmas time!

The Stockings Were Hung......
When I was little, my mom made me and my sisters our Christmas stockings. So, of course, I wanted to do the same for my kids. I made Brady's stocking the Christmas before he was born & thought I'd only have one more to make for my second child. Little did I know I'd have 5 more to make. Thankfully, my mom made Gracie & Rayleigh's for me. They all turned out so cute & they all were made with lots of love & hard work.

Christmas Around Our House
Here's a glimpse around our house for Christmas. Because I'm a stay-at-home mom now, I get to enjoy them all day long!
Our entry hall. Each child has a teddy bear with the year of their first Christmas (bears are from Dillards). The lighted presents are from Kirklands.
Our mantle, with 8 stockings this year!!!
Love, love, love this picture of Santa and the kids.

Oh Christmas Tree!
I love Christmas time, it's one of my most favorite times of the year. I love the decorations and just the feeling that I get everywhere I go. Christmas is such a special time of the year. I don't, however, put my decorations up until after Thanksgiving. I hate how commercialized our society has gotten. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays and (in my opinion) it gets overlooked a lot of times. It kills me how stores are open on Thanksgiving for pre-Black Friday shopping....and people go shop! Anyways, I'm not going to get on my soapbox about all that, Thanksgiving is over and now we finally have our Christmas decorations up around the house. And it is beautiful around here. We're also working on hand/foot print projects for Christmas.
This weekend (it took 3 whole days with all the starting and stopping) I got all my Christmas decorations out. Here's a glimpse of our Christmas trees. We have 5 trees in our house. Only one is decorated. The other 4 are from our wedding. I love putting our ornaments on the tree because each one has such a special meaning to us. We always get an ornament on vacation. And this year, we get to add 5 Baby's First Christmas ornaments!!!!

Thanksgiving 2014
So the quints' first Thanksgiving is in the books and I'm ashamed of myself for not taking more pictures. It's just too hard to take pictures and keep up with 6 kids, cook, clean, visit, and everything else that goes into hosting Thanksgiving for about 30 people. I absolutely love it when our families come over for the holidays. We host everyone for Thanksgiving and Christmas, sometimes we do other holidays too (this year we all got together for Halloween). For Thanksgiving, we get together on Wednesday night and I always pick non-traditional foods for our get-together. Most people tend to get burnt out on the "traditional" holiday day food and I don't want to add to that issue. The menu for this Thanksgiving was Italian. I made homemade lasagna (which everyone loved...I'm so proud of myself...it was completely eaten), spaghetti, pasta salad, pizza, salad, and bread. We had a ton of desserts to top it off! The food was delicious and the visiting was great, but the real fun came when we played Scream-O. My family loves playing games when we all get-together.
The babies did well, but they came down with the stomach virus and are suffering from teething. But overall, they are healthy and for that I'm am SO thankful! I celebrated this Thanksgiving with my sweet hubby and my six children, how awesome is that! I am so grateful for all the blessings in my life. God is great!

My sweet friend Belinda made us this beautiful Thanksgiving flower arrangement. I used it as the centerpiece of our table for Thanksgiving dinner.
Brant with a turkey on his bottom. This was Brady's Thanksgiving outfit. I love seeing it again on Brant.
