Brady is now 13 1/2 months old! I'm a little behind on everything so I'm going to try to catch up now.
Brady goes to sleep on his own now. It make me so sad that he doesn't "need" me to rock him to sleep. I still do rock him a little, but most nights I only rock him through the 5 songs I sing to him then I kiss him and lay him in bed. He is shaking his head no when he doesn't want something. He's up to 9 teeth now. He keeps a runny nose...I guess he's got allergies like me, poor baby. He loves Steven's tractor and he even says ta-tor, and the other morning he said something along the lines of "bye Gavin"...but he still doesn't say mama. He can open doors and he will go outside without you knowing it so we're having to lock all the door now. He loves Mexican food! He especially likes guacamole and beef enchiladas. He is addicted to those squeeze packages of apple sauce, the smoothies, and the milk & fruit. I haven't manage to get him off the bottle. We're taking baby steps in that department. He's drinking whole milk now and prefers it to be luke-warm. He chipped his front top tooth and had to go to the dentist. The dentist said it was okay. He LOVES to be outside. Most evenings we're out until 8pm playing and riding the four-wheeler. I'm sure there's some new developments I'm forgetting to mention but that pretty much covers most of the new tricks he has achieved this past month.

Brady's 1st Hair Cut
It's been about 2 weeks ago since Brady had his first haircut. It was hard to get his beautiful curls cut off, but I really like his big boy hair cut. It's a lot easier to manage. Short hair is one of the great things about little boys. I don't have to take any time in the mornings to fix someone else's hair. He did very well during his hair cut. He got scared when we sat him in the seat so my niece Makenna sat with him. We fed him a sucker which helped keep him still, but after a while, he got to dancing to the music on the radio.
That night after we were in bed and everyone was asleep, I cried just a little...not that I was sad about the curls being gone, but that my baby keeps growing up so fast.
He was a little scared at first. There were 7 people looking at him and he didn't know what was about to happen to him. |
Makenna to the rescue! |
Bye-bye baby hair |
Off with the curls. |
Yummy sucker kept him still for a little while. |
All smiles! |
Thanks Debbie for doing such a great job. It can't be easy to cut someone's hair that won't be perfectly still but she did a great job. |

Easter 2013
We had a wonderful Easter with our family. Brady liked walking around in the grass, but didn't get into the hunting part. Once he found an egg he was good. Is was so fun to watch him. He always brings a smile to my face.
