So today we ventured out to the pumpkin patch. As usual, I waited until the last moment to do something. Rain is in the forecast for Friday and Saturday so I knew if I was going to get some pictures at the pumpkin patch, today was the last day I had to do it. We've had quiet a bit of rain around here lately so I was concerned about the ground being wet, but I was willing to give it a try.
So our day started bright & early and by early I mean 5:30am early. Gracie decided she had had enough sleep as was up and ready to go at 5:30. I rushed into the room before she woke up the other babies and brought her back to my room. She laid with me for the next hour but neither one of us went back to bed. I knew our day was going to be interesting from that moment on. So we got dressed and out the door by 9:30 and made it to the pumpkin patch by 10am. Of course, I always travel with help, so that was really nice on this wet and crazy morning. We dressed the girls in their new fall outfits. My stepmom, Loretta, made the girls cute pants for them and boy were they adorable. The ground was very wet from all the rain we've gotten this past weekend but we were able to manage. When we drove up there was a group of people at the pumpkin patch but they left immediately when we parked. I guess they saw our big van and thought they needed to hurry up and get out of the way before our crew got out. It was nice to have the whole place to ourselves. I didn't have to worry about losing the kids in a crowd of other kids. Plus I didn't have to worry about my kids swapping germs with other kids. The babies loved exploring and playing with the pumpkins, all except Gracie that is, she was unhappy the whole time. Brady wasn't happy about being there either. Of course, I didn't get that perfect picture I was hoping for but the ones I got are pretty hilarious and will make for some pretty awesome memories.
