December 2015

December went by very fast. We made three trips to Dallas. We took the quints to a dietitian the first Saturday in December. She will be watching their weights and has given us some helpful tips to try to fatten them up. We've made a lot of changes and we're very hopeful that the quints will start gaining lots of weight. The next week, Steven and I took Mia and Brant to our Dallas pedi to get their weight checked out again. He was pleased and said we'll just watch them. Then we took Mia to the eye doctor. The eye doctor doesn't think her eyes are bad enough for glasses but is sending us to a retina specialist for another opinion. Her appointment is in two weeks, so please keep Mia in your prayers. The third trip to Dallas was a 24 hour get-away for Steven and I to celebrate our 9th anniversary. It was so nice to just focus on us for a few hours. Brady had a fun Christmas party at school and he's enjoyed being off for Christmas break. We enjoyed a nice Christmas and the kids got lots of fun toys to play with. I had my tree and decorations down the day after Christmas. Once all the Christmas decor was gone I began cleaning out, throwing away, and scrubbing this house from top to bottom. It feels so good to have a clean and organized house to start the new year. We ended 2015 sick with sinus infections. We enjoyed a nice quiet evening at home to ring in the New Year. And I can not believe 2015 is over....time really flies when you're having fun.

Hope you all had a wonderful end of the year/holiday season. May 2016 be full of blessings!

Brady's Class Christmas Party
Brady gave all his classmates these cute cookies.
Brady and his partner-in-crime...his teacher Ms. Holly
I always enjoy displaying Brady's artwork around our house.

Santa visited all the kids at Brady's class party.
Opening his gift from Santa, of course, he needed to be in Ms. Holly's lap to do so.

Ms. Kay & Ms. Holly...and of course, Brady wouldn't smile.

Getting a good picture with my big guy is not easy feat.

Then Ms. Holly worked her magic...and...
We got a sweet picture.
I love Brady's teachers so much. They have been so wonderful to my sweet guy.
When Steven and I took Brant and Mia to Dallas for doctor appointments, we got stuck behind two wrecks, one going to Dallas and one coming from Dallas. The first wreck delayed us 1 hour and made us 45 minutes to our first appointment, thankfully Dr. S is so sweet and understanding. That appointment ended later than it should have, which meant we didn't have time to stop for lunch before the second appointment. After the second appointment, we stopped to eat then headed home. We got about an hour down the road before we had to stop for the second wreck. We were stuck for 2 hours on the interstate with no where to go. I felt so sorry for Brant and Mia, it hate it when my poor babies are strapped in their carseats and crying. After we started driving again, they both fell asleep right away.
Mia being silly at the eye doctor.

Mia and Daddy at dinner.
Brant & mama at dinner.
Desperate times call for desperate measures....so I crawled in the back seat and let the kids watch movies on the phone while we waited to start moving again.

New Year's Eve.. Nana & Pops came over and we ate steaks, took a few pictures, then the quints were in bed by 8pm, Brady by 9pm, and we were in bed by 10pm. That's about as exciting as it gets around here these days, especially when all the kids are sick.

The kids are in birth order (from l to r)
Brady, Mia, Tessa, Brant, Gracie, & Rayleigh

Well, that wraps up 2015. It was fun and exhausting all at the same time. I can't wait to see what 2016 has in store for us!
xoxo,
Michelle
